Shame courses through my veins Corrupting my very soul. I had almost grown accustomed to This world I've come to know. But old habits die hard And this one is just the same. There's no one else that's here And I'm the only one to blame. The lines begin to throb in pain, Blood slowly seeping out. Not enough for the release of death But enough to let it out. I am the king of things gone by. Master of all that's not there. I drink from rivers run dry. I watch the invisible air. I am the king of things that never existed. Ruler of all that passed away. I walk a path that grew twisted And see colors in shades of gray. I am the king that ruled nothing at all But had it all in my grasp. I built an impenetrable wall To shield from pretend attacks. I am the king of a kingdom so mighty And yet nothing has ever been shown. I ruled my kingdom so wisely That it's existence will never be known.

Thinking about changing my name.

So, for a few years, my go to username for everything has been TheRoaringBear. I feel like it's a part of me and who I am. But I also feel like it holds the last vestiges of a person who I no longer am. I've grown. I'm smarter, I'm stronger, and I'm wiser. I feel the need to move on, but at the same time, I'm afraid of letting go of this name that has come to define me. It's more than just a moniker. It holds the emotions, the trials, the tribulations, and the experiences of who I am. As much as I want to move on, I feel like I can't let it go.
